Scandia Rent MABI Rovaniemi rautatieasema

I went to Rovaniemi in July 2021 and rented a car with Scandia Rent, in the train station. My experience with them was not very good. While the car price was not very expensive, the deductible was (2000 euro). Usually, when renting a car, the deductible is "blocked" in your bank account, but they were trying to get the money, so obviously it didn't work because of my credit card's limit. We had to split the amount of the deductible in three separate cards. As I have said, they took the money and gave it back to us the day we returned the car, but that was a problem as one of the cards was not labelled in euros, so the person lost some money with the conversion fees when the money was returned. Despite all the problems, the boy who was working there was really nice, patient and helpful and even if we were very angry, we let him know it wasn't against him, but against the company. I highly recommend other car rental companies. A 2000 euro-deductible is really high and a lot of people have problems to rent a car with these conditions. Besides, it was the first time that a car rental company directly took the money instead of blocking it.
